The Quick tab contains access to six analyses: MSPC Deployment, Principal component analysis (PCA), Partial least squares (PLS), Batch-wise multi-way partial least squares (BMPLS), Time-wise multi-way principal component analysis (TMPCA), and Time-wise multi-way partial least squares (TMPLS).
Element Name | Description |
---|---|
MSPC Deployment | Select MSPC Deployment and click the OK button to display the Deployment Model dialog box, which contains options to load and deploy one or more existing models (in PMML format). You can also double-click on MSPC Deployment to display the dialog box. Deployment of different model types is not supported, i.e., if you load multiple files, then all deployed models must be the same type, e.g., PCA or PLS. |
Principal component analysis (PCA) | Select this option to display the PCA Startup dialog box in order to run a new PCA analysis. |
Partial least squares (PLS) | Select this option to display the PLS Startup dialog box in order to run a new PLS analysis (regression or classification). Classification-type problems are generally those where you attempt to predict values of a categorical dependent variable (class, group membership, etc.) from one or more continuous and/or categorical predictors. By contrast, regression-type problems are generally those where you attempt to predict the values of a continuous variable from one or more continuous and/or categorical predictor variables. |
Batch-wise multi-way partial least squares (BMPLS) | Select this option to display the BMPLS Startup dialog box in order to apply a PLS analysis to batch data unfolded in a batch-wise direction. |
Time-wise multi-way principal component analysis (TMPCA) | Select this option to display the TMPCA Startup dialog box in order to apply a PCA analysis to batch data unfolded in the direction of time (i.e., batch progress). |
Time-wise multi-way partial least squares (TMPLS) | Select this option to display the TMPLS Startup dialog box in order to apply PLS analysis to batch data unfolded in the direction of time (i.e., batch progress). |
OK | Click this button to display the respective dialog box for the analysis type you have selected from the Quick tab. Note that you can also double-click on the desired analysis to display the analysis dialog box. |
Cancel | Click the Cancel button to close the Multivariate Statistical Process Control Startup Panel without performing an analysis. |
Options | See Options Menu for descriptions of the commands on this menu. |
Open Data | Click the Open Data button to display the Select Data Source dialog box, which is used to choose the spreadsheet on which to perform the analysis. The Select Data Source dialog box contains a list of the spreadsheets that are currently active. |
Select Cases | Click the Select Cases button to display the Analysis/Graph Case Selection Conditions dialog box, which is used to create conditions for which cases will be included (or excluded) in the current analysis. More information is available in the case selection conditions overview, syntax summary, and dialog box description. |
