Multidimensional Scaling Startup Panel - Quick Tab
Select the
Quick tab of the
Multidimensional Scaling Startup Panel to access options to specify the variables and number of dimensions for the analysis.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Variables | Displays a standard variable selection dialog box in which you can select the variables for the analysis. |
Number of dimensions | You can enter the number of dimensions or use the accompanying microscrolls for the multidimensional scaling analysis. The default value is 2. The maximum number of dimensions that can be specified is 9, or the number of variables (objects) minus one, whichever is smaller.
Note that in consecutive analyses, by accepting the default settings you can systematically evaluate solutions for N dimensions, N-1 dimensions, N-2 dimensions, and so on. For example, you can specify 5 dimensions first, then after returning from the output dialog box, Statistica computes a solution for 4 dimensions by default, and so on. |
