Project Tab

Select the Project tab of the Link analysis Startup Panel to access options to determine whether to create a new project or to modify or run an existing one.

Project.

Create new project
Select this option button to create a new project (i.e., to start a new analysis).
Use existing project
Select this option button to modify or run an existing project (created from a previous analysis).

Database selection.

Database file
Click this button to display the Open Link Analysis database file dialog, where you can select an existing database (.dbs) file where the sequence/association rules are stored. The rules in this file will replace the one currently existing in the workspace. Therefore you may want to save any existing rule in your workspace first (which you may want to retain for later use) before opening a new database file.

Adjacent to this button is a field that displays the name and full path of the selected .dbs file. To create a new .dbs file for your ongoing analysis, simply enter the name and full path of the directory where the file is to be sent.

With existing project.

Update new transactions
Available only when the Use existing project option button is selected (see above). Select this option button to update an existing rule model stored in the database file (see the Database file option) with new transactions contained in the current data set file.
Recommendation via PMML
Select this option button to use an existing PMML file for making predictions.
PMML file
Click this button to display a standard Open file dialog, which you can use to load an existing PMML file. These files are written in Predictive Model Markup Language (PMML). You can create such files using the PMML option on the Results dialog.
Go to the results dialog without adding transactions
Select this option button to start making predictions for the active data set using the association/sequence model stored in the current database file.
